Happy Tuesday, GoldBuzzers!
As promised on Sunday, this morning’s feature is a little different.
I’m delighted to announce that today’s Take Action Tuesday is about a website I’ve spent the past few months building, and now it’s yours to use.
Ok. Let’s get into it. ⬇️
The Scoreboard 🏆

Gold slipped about 0.6 percent on Monday to settle under $4,170 an ounce, handing back part of Friday’s bounce, while silver eased to just above $60. The culprit was a US dollar still hovering near an 18-month high, plus another jump in oil after Houthi militants struck Riyadh’s main airport over the weekend and Russia hit Ukrainian energy facilities despite the freshly announced “energy ceasefire.”
Pricier oil feeds inflation worries, and inflation is the whole story this week: US consumer price data lands Wednesday, with producer prices following Thursday. Traders currently give the Fed roughly an 80 percent chance of holding rates this month, but nearly a 90 percent chance of at least one hike by December.
Since gold and silver pay no interest, higher rates tend to weigh on both, so expect cautious trading until Wednesday’s number shows its hand. One encouraging detail beneath the surface: inflows into gold-backed funds have just hit a four-year high, which suggests long-term buyers are still adding through this consolidation phase.
Take Action Tuesday 📅
The gold price site I couldn’t find, so I built it.
Many of you know the story of how I started a comprehensive gold and silver research project back in 2020, which ended up significantly expanding in scope, and took four years to complete. The project was called Theseus, and it concluded at the perfect time.
On March 1st 2024, just as I was pondering what to do with all the Theseus work, gold closed above the December 2023 high of $2,077. Gold finally hit $2,083 that day and it marked a significant breakout from the brutal 13-year consolidation that followed the end of the previous bull market in 2011.

Gold’s breakout from a 13-year trading range in March 2024.
The Start of the New Bull Market
Over the following few weeks, I watched each of the key Theseus indicators confirm the breakout and I knew that we were entering the early stages of potentially the greatest bull market in precious metals history.
The easiest option was to just use the signals myself and trade them, as I knew that the bull market was likely to run for years, well into the 2030s. But it soon became clear to me that very few people were aware of what was happening, or its significance against the backdrop of an increasingly perilous world economic situation.
I started to search for trustworthy gold and silver news and investment resources, and discovered they were very hard to find.
Starting GoldBuzz
That’s when I decided to build my own, culminating in the launch of the GoldBuzz newsletter that you’re reading today. The newsletter was followed earlier this year by GoldBuzz INSIDER, which makes the Theseus research available to anyone for their gold and silver investments.
GoldBuzz is now read in more than 40 countries, so I guess that means the content resonates with people, and I’m tremendously appreciative of the wonderful feedback so many of you have shared.
But when I launched the newsletter, and later INSIDER, I knew there was one other piece of the puzzle that would need to come next.
Checking Prices
Every gold investor I know has the same habit. We check the price!
Most of us do it several times a day, sometimes several times an hour. But most of us are using old sites that haven’t been improved in years, many of which look like they were built back in the days of Windows 95!
When I compared many of the gold price sites to the crypto price sites, the difference was astonishing. The gold sites really looked like they were from a different era.
I found prices labeled “live” that turned out to be 15 minutes old and pages that were messy and confusing. Often one currency and one unit, so if I wanted the price per gram in Canadian dollars I was doing the sum in my head. News pages that were a pile of press releases that nobody would bother to read. And advertising everywhere, so the key numbers I’d come for were often the smallest thing on the page.
I’ve been expecting someone to fix this but nobody did. So earlier this year, I put together a small and very talented team of two programmers, a designer and a content specialist and we’ve spent much of this year researching and building the site.
It’s called goldprice.live and I believe it’s the site that GoldBuzz needed.
An email newsletter can’t show you a live price, or interactive charts, and it can’t carry a 2,000-word guide without becoming a chore to read. So the new site is the place where those things live, and it will always be connected to the newsletter.
As of this morning it’s open.
The target I’ve set is a high one. I’ll never put my name to anything that I don’t actually use myself everyday, so I want the site to be the most useful live gold and silver resource on the web. I want your help in making sure we hit that target. All of your input is welcome.
What it costs
Nothing. There’s no paywall and no registration. It will always be a free resource for the precious metals community.
To keep the site entirely free for users, over the next few weeks we’ll introduce a small amount of clearly marked advertising. It won’t get between you and the content, and it won’t change what you can use. Clicking through when an ad’s relevant to you is what keeps it free.
Check the price in your own currency
Gold and silver update every second, in 12 currencies including US, Canadian and Australian dollars, pounds, euros, Swiss francs, rupees and yen. Each one is shown per ounce, per gram, per kilogram and per tola, and gold is broken out by karat from 24K down to 10K.
Each country page also gets a daily updated commentary, telling you the factors most affecting gold and silver in different currencies around the world.
Price your old coins or jewelery
The scrap gold calculator takes a karat, a weight and the percentage a buyer typically pays, and gives you two numbers: what the gold is worth at today’s price, and what you’d walk away with. A 15-gram 22K ring, at this morning’s price and a buyer paying 85 percent, is worth about $1,855 as metal and about $1,577 in your hand. Knowing both before you walk into a shop is very useful.
Alongside it are a silver calculator, a purity calculator for working out the fine gold in an alloy, and an investment calculator that shows what your purchase at a given date and price is worth now. All pull their data from the live feed.
Read what happened overnight
This is the part I’m proudest of. Twice a day, we’ll publish a market commentary for gold and a separate one for silver. The first is released in the hour before 9:00am Eastern, with an update on the overnight action and other factors before the New York open.
The second update will be later in the trading day, before market close. Each one covers what the price did, what moved it and what to watch next, in plain English. If you only read one page on the site each morning, make it this one.
Follow the news without the noise
The news page gathers all the top gold and silver stories throughout the day and summarizes the best ones, so you can easily see in a sentence whether it’s worth your time. We try to avoid press releases dressed up as news and only feature the stories that matter.
Around 6 times every day 24/7, we’ll find new breaking stories and update them for you. You can also see each of the top stories at any time on the homepage.
Go deeper than a newsletter can
GoldBuzz is still the primary place where I’ll give you my take on what’s happening with gold and silver every Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday mornings. But if you want a much deeper dive into these markets, I’ve been writing in-depth resource articles for the new website where I’m not restricted by any fixed article length. These are long guides based on my own research, on subjects that need the room and I hope to write a new article every week.
Nothing about GoldBuzz changes. The new site just handles the jobs a newsletter can’t - the live numbers, the charts, calculators and long reads. The newsletter does the job a website can’t, which is telling you what the numbers really mean and what to do about them, so the two work hand in hand together.
What I’d like from you
We’ve worked hard to make the new site visually appealing, and you can easily switch from light to dark mode with the button at the top right of the menu, whichever suits your display better.
I hope you’ll find the site really useful and start to make it an integral part of your daily routine. Please bookmark it and start using it this week. Feel free to reply to this email and tell me what you like about it, or if you find anything that’s missing or broken.
Let me know what additional features you’d like to see in the future, and we’ll try to implement the top requests over the coming months.
The site is goldprice.live. Welcome!

🔒 Where the Signals Stand
The site will tell you what gold did overnight. It won’t tell you whether the trend has changed. That’s what INSIDER is for: a rules-based system built on four years’ research and more than 50 years of price data, covering gold, silver, the miners and Bitcoin.
When a trend changes, our members see it on a private before the US market opens.
It’s what I use for my own investments.
14-day money-back guarantee. Cancel anytime.
That’s all for this Tuesday, folks. I’ll see you on Thursday.
Before you go, please take a moment to rate today’s newsletter and tell us how we did.
